Weston College was rated ‘Outstanding’ following a rigorous Ofsted inspection in December 2013, cementing its status as one of the top-performing colleges in the country.Since 2001 the College, whose origins date back to 1859, has undergone a total transformation, culminating in earning Ofsted’s top rating.
Weston College has served the education and training needs of its local community for more than 150 years. It has its origins in private drawing and painting classes provided by Henry Stacy in Oriel Terrace in 1859.The School of Art was opened on February 7th 1865 under the auspices of the Government's Department of Science and Art, and with the aid of £40 collected from local residents.
