The Founder Entity EUVG is Cognitaria Association S. Jorge de Milreu (ACSJM), whose legal status is that of a non-profit association. The ACSJM was incorporated on December 30, 1997, as published in Diário da República, III Series, No. 226, of September 30, 1998, having as their object the "artistic and educational teaching, science and culture" In 1999 he proceeded to the acquisition, project planning and application for official authorization to conduct interventions (restoration work) in an ancient building, with recognized historical and patrimonial value, which was in ruins - the Monastery of St. George's Milreu. In 2000, ACSJM started the operation of two business areas - Higher Education and Vocational Training - given that it was the purpose of its founders to create an integrated educational project, with various levels of education. Given the context variables both external and internal, the project has come to move towards the privileged development of private higher education component.
