The trajectory of the University of Passo Fundo Foundation (FUPF) has its origin on June 28, 1967, resulting from the merger of Pro-University Society, which held the Faculty of Law, and the Consortium University Catholic, which had instituted the Faculty of Philosophy with the philosophy courses, pedagogy and Anglo-German studies. The Foundation University of Passo Fundo is sponsor of the University of Passo Fundo, the Integrated Secondary School Centre and the Language Center of FUPF also called UPF Languages. It is an administratively and financially autonomous entity of private entities with legal personality under the law and for an indefinite period. Is headquartered in the city of Passo Fundo, in the northern state of Rio Grande do Sul.
