University of Technology and Management (UTM), has been conceptualized and designed as a leading New Age University imparting technical and management programs at the graduate and postgraduate level. The programs offered are intended to empower gen-next professionals by helping them convert their passions into a rewarding career. Based in Shillong, Meghalaya, the University is established under UTM Act, 2010 in accordance with Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University is established under Meghalaya Act (No. 3 of 2011) legislated by Meghalaya Assembly and notified vide Meghalaya Govt. Order dated May 17, 2011. UTM offers cutting edge programs in Media, Communication, Digital, Travel, Tourism and Technology streams. Envisaged to be set in the scenic hills of Shillong, situated in North-Eastern State of Meghalaya, UTM promises to provide world-class education through its six constituent schools; and to impart life skills that will address the changing lifestyles of modern India.
