The Campus known as the Santa Ursula University - USU, is a Catholic institution, with 75 years of existence, founded in 1939 by nuns of the Order of St. Ursula, created in 1535 by St. Angela's Merice. Its history as a university is linked to the actual performance of Teaching, Research and Extension over all this time.
The first educational institution of the complex was the Faculty of Philosophy, Science and Letters Santa Ursula, founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1939, becoming University on December 15, 1975, by federal decree No. 76,793 / 75. The ongoing work aims to provide the student body courses to accompany the continuous changes resulting from the progress of science and technological innovations, always offering a humanistic and holistic training.
