The State University of Maringa Parana is located in the Northwest region with over two million inhabitants. Is organized on the campus of Maringa, Umuarama, Cianorte, Goioerê, North Diamond and Gaucho City, beyond the Experimental Farm of Iguatemi, the Advanced Research Base in Puerto Rico and the Research Center for Fish Farming in Floriano. Was established in 1970 and obtained his recognition in 1976. " Until the creation of the University in the year 1969, meeting the higher education needs in Maringa was done by three state institutions: State College of Economic Sciences, created in 1959, State Law School, established in 1966 and Faculty of Philosophy Foundation , Sciences and Letters was established in 1966."
