The University of Pará has 22 years of history. It was born from the merger of colleges state of Nursing, Medicine, Physical Education and Education. Since then, Uepa develops educational actions, research and extension in the fields of Health, Education and Technology. Today, the University reaches ten of the twelve regions of integration of Pará. There are five campuses in the capital and others in the cities of Paragominas, Conceição do Araguaia, Marabá, Altamira, Igarapé-Açu, São Miguel do Guama, Santarém, Tucuruí, Moju, redemption, Barcarena, Porthole, Cametá, Salvaterra and Castanhal.There are over 16,000 students enrolled in 25 undergraduate courses in distance learning courses and in graduate broad and strict sense.
