On July 20, 1978, the College of Cáceres, which brings in its history the mark of being born inside was created. Based on Law No. 703, the Municipal Decree 190 was published, creating the College of Cáceres (IESC), linked to the Municipal Education and Social Welfare, with the goal of promoting higher education and research. Takes over as Municipal Municipal Entity on 15 August. Through the Federal Decree 89719 of May 30, 1984, it authorized the operation of the courses offered by the Institute. In 1985, with the State Law 4,960 of December 19, the Executive Branch establishing the University Center Foundation Cáceres (FUCUC), foundational entity, autonomous, linked to the Department of Education and the State of Mato Grosso Culture, aiming to promote research and study of the different branches of knowledge and science communication, technical and cultural. The State Law 5495 of July 17, 1989, amends Law 4960 and following the norms of the law of Education began to be called Foundation Higher Education Center Caceres (FCESC).
