Technology Private University of Santa Cruz (UTEPSA) , was founded on September 9, 1994, in the vibrant and dynamic city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, capital of the Department, under the name of Private Technical University of Santa Cruz; by Legal Status No. 3409/94, Ministerial Resolution 076/99 and Secretarial Resolution No. 350/95 and 516/96; to meet the demands and needs of higher education at university higher technical level, degree and engineering academic programs in which technology is applied in the process of training professionals. In 1995 UTEPSA started its academic activities in Libertad Street corner Andres Ibanez, with five races to level Technician and a Degree level under the academic organization of Rector and two faculties; the Economic, Financial and Administrative Sciences (FEFA) and Exact Sciences and Technology (FET) with Resolution 350/95 Secretarial .. To meet the request of his students to expand their professional training at the undergraduate level, the October 16, 1996, UTEPSA asked the Ministry of Education expansion and operation of their careers Higher Degree Level Technical Level and the opening of three new careers Superior Technical Level. The authorization was obtained by Secretarial Resolution 516/96.
