SEK University is the culmination of an educational system launched in Madrid over 100 years ago and today is backed by the prestige of existing schools in Europe, America, Africa and Asia. On August 8, 1988 the first SEK University in Santiago de Chile was established as a private corporation nonprofit, under Decree Law No. 1 Force of December 30, 1980 the Ministry of Education of Chile . Thus, the USEK is a young university that started its academic activities in 1990, and intends to create suitable for the transmission of knowledge conditions, study, research, personal development and human exchanges, scientific and cultural.In the course of time, the development of the university community of the USEK, resulted in a diverse and multidisciplinary university environment, the institutional level was ratified by the Supreme Council Education through No. 111 Agreement of 5 December 2002, which granted full autonomy.
