In 1977 a group of visionary entrepreneurs professors and students decided to organize and establish a private institution that would meet their academic requirements for the primary purpose of exercising the functions of teaching and learning, research and dissemination of culture: "... in which remain the guiding principles of liberty, moral values, the universality of thought and love of country, without any philosophical leanings, religious, economic or political stream ".
