The Public University of El Alto ( UPEA ) is a university public and independent of Bolivia , located in the city of El Alto , which offers 35 runs in the socio-political-economic, health and technology areas. In 2011 they were implemented 13 races for a total of 35 academic offerings of the upper house of studies. Its action is part of the organic statute approved in 2007. In 1989 El Alto social institutions signed agreements with the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) to create a faculty with technical careers. The population of El Alto wanted college careers contase with vocational training, not only at a technical level. For this, the inhabitants of this city began a series of demonstrations to get a university that has a higher academic offerings.
