Latin American Private Open University is an institution of higher education, under a civil association, nonprofit, supported by the FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE FUNDAEC, counting the latter with its own juridical personality and legal address duly recognized by Prefectural Administrative Resolution No. 221/97, thus complying with the provisions of articles 76 and 77 of the DS 24206 of December 29, 1995. The University was founded on January 11, 1990. Supreme Resolution No. 212359 of April 2, 1993 obtained the legal status entitling him to issue academic degrees, whose titles in National Provision shall be awarded by the National Ministry of Education .As of August 15, 1995, by Resolution No. 609 Secretarial, the beginning of their academic activities and opening races of the social area is allowed.By Secretarial Resolution # 11 of January 8, 1997, expansion and operation of the careers of Medicine, stomatology and Pharmaceutical Sciences is authorized.
