The Salesian University of Mexico has exceeded 40 years of existence and from its early stages the spirit that has animated is to give life to the project of San Juan Bosco, the saint who understood the situation of young workers socially displaced by rising industrialization in the Italian territory in the second half of the nineteenth century.
The Salesians are a congregation of Catholic religious. Our founder, the Italian San Juan Bosco, we inherited his kind, cheerful and close style inspired by St. Francis de Sales and his encounter with the Virgin Mary Help of Christians. The December 18, 1859 was born the congregation, with the official name of Society of St. Francis de Sales, which is formed by Salesian priests and lay Salesians.
