The National Toribio Rodriguez de Mendoza Amazonas (UNTRM) University was established by Law No. 27347 of September 18, 2000 and began its academic activities in June 2001, by Resolution No. 114 of operating license issued by the CONAFU dated May 25, 2001. Since its inception until December 8, 2009, the University has been administered and governed by five commissioners appointed by CONAFU. The December 8, 2009 he made his Academic Induction Ceremony of newly elected authorities, the CONAFU granted by Resolution No. 627-2009 dated November 27, 2009 the final authorization for operation of the University and therefore has its autonomy and passes to join as a member of the National Assembly of Rectors with all the prerogatives under the University Act.
