The National University of Rosario was created in 1968 by Law 17,987. Its founding structure was a detachment of the National University of the Coast who makes his first academic and administrative bodies at that time consisted of: the faculties of Medicine, Science, Engineering and Architecture, of Economics, Philosophy, Law and Political Sciences, Dentistry, Agricultural Sciences and teaching hospitals and high schools that it also depended on the Superior Institute of Music of Rosario.
