The creation of the National University of La Pampa was fulfilled in a significantly short time, barely covers the last four months of 1958. In truth, there are some background, in particular initiatives related to higher education in agronomy and veterinary matters. The creative process is tightly served between 27 August 1958 and 4 September of the same year. On the first date was issued Decree why we are commanded to project a university institute in La Pampa. 1558-1558 is numbered and appoints Dr. Ernesto Benito Bonicatto for that task. Should aim "the study and development of knowledge aimed at solving regional problems of the Province and its zone of influence."
