The proposed creation of the Universidad Iberoamericana OF ECUADOR is not new. Its beginning dates back to the early nineties.The conceptual and operational support UNIB.E of what constitutes a Foundation, "Castro Foundation", created on 20 May 1994. The nonprofit by definition, the Foundation projected onto college altruistic ideals of service society and seriousness. The second stage is carried out with the foundation of the Instituto Superior Benvenuto Cellini, which can be considered, for this reason, as the first step in the creation of the Universidad Iberoamericana OF ECUADOR. The Cellini Institute opened in October 1994, in the palace-Villagómez Yépez, beside the park of La Alameda. It began with the School of Jewelry, in order to respond to the need to introduce technology existing jewelry long tradition in the country since pre-Columbian times; Then in 1995, the school opened Production in Radio and Television.
