The Unigran, was created in 2009, by Law No. 3948/09 and Law No. 4.065 / 10 law to meet the high demand of society and the community of the Central department and others created in different cities, this University born mainly to respond to people with low income, who work must pay for their higher education without leaving their families, communities, and thus avoid uprooting evil makes both Paraguayan families. With the creation of the Foundation ARANDU'A, by Decree No. 2097/09, in view of the presentation made to the Ministry of Interior as of December 3, 2008 with the registration in the relevant records and Approval of Laws and Recognition their legal status and subsequently as civilian in character with its own capacity of its bylaws, is born the Autonomous University of the Great Asunción, as work in the Company Statute of 28 September 2009, in the said statute as Act No. 1 the University Council is created, and that Article 1 of the Statute states that the University is born non-profit, as a matter of Higher Education, created at the request of Arandu'a Foundation, hereinafter governed by all Laws governing higher education.
