The ECCI University (formerly known as Colombian School of Industrial Carreras), is a private college of higher education , located in the city of Bogota , Colombia . He began work in the year 1977 and its headquarters is located in the northeast of town, this being a sector competition for students, for ease of access to different routes of public and private transport. At present (2014) has an estimated number of 13,000 students and offers a total of 20 undergraduate programs, 3 graduate programs, continuing education programs (courses, courses, seminars, conferences) and a bilingual school. The ECCI, was originally founded under the name of Colombian School of Intermediate strokes in 1977 , with the objective that the graduates have an education more adapted to the technical and commercial processes in the framework of technical careers. In 1978, with the support of Ministry of Education of Colombia the ECCI obtains permission and offers students technology careers in plastics , electro , industrial electronics and automotive mechanics . In 1980 he obtained legal status and in 1992 recorded new academic and professional programs; between these Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Computer Science , Telecommunications , Environmental Development, Business Development, Fashion Design, Tax Administration and Customs, Marketing and Advertising, Foreign trade, International Business and in 2011 he inaugurated the professional program of Nursing , all these programs accredited inspection and ICFES .
