The May 4, 1960 was born an institution that was established to train future entrepreneurs in a region defined by the strength of its inhabitants. More than five decades later, EAFIT has not only trained business leaders from Medellin, Antioquia and Colombia, but has been able to emerge as a global institution that houses different areas of knowledge. The roadmap of the institution is marked by three main areas defined in the Strategic Development Plan 2012-2018: to preserve academic excellence, strengthen university teaching with research, and improve national and international projection.
