University Don Vasco was born in 1964 with the aim of providing quality educational services and, thus, participate strongly in the moral, social, cultural and economic progress of the region. University Don Vasco is one of the first private institutions of higher education in the west of the country, and the only one in the state of Michoacan, which has the official recognition by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Since 1976 its educational model is governed by the rules and quality standards of the highest seat of learning, which maintains a system of ongoing evaluation of the infrastructure, academic programs, teaching, administrative organization and the teaching staff of the UDV .
