The Atlantic University is located in the city of Barranquilla, capital of Atlantico department. It was conceived by the philosopher Julio Enrique Blanco , who in their efforts to public education as a requirement of majority of the coastal town, designed and launched this faculty of higher education. A process that began in 1941 and it definitely was crystallized in the year 1,946. There is no doubt that the origin of the University of the Atlantic is directly related to its main manager, the visionary philosopher, Barranquilla, Julio Enrique Blanco . In view of the importance that education has in the positive transformation of peoples and societies, should be the main educational initiatives that led to the creation of the University of the Atlantic .
