The University of Moron is a privately run educational institution that since 1960 is dedicated to provide education at the higher level. It currently has 26,000 sqm of educational infrastructure, 6,000 m² of laboratories and modern facilities of its library. The May 18, 1960 opened the University of Morón . At the time of its founding, he had only two academic units, the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and Philosophy and Letters.Then new faculties were opened to meet the educational needs of an increasingly demanding students. In 1962, the Faculty of Economics and Engineering was created. The following year came the first School of Tourism of the country, current Faculty of Applied Tourism and Population Sciences. In 1965, the creation of the College of Agriculture and the Institute of Forensic Techniques and in 1967 ordered the faculty grouping Engineering and Sciences was unfolded in Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Exact, Chemical and Natural Sciences.
