UDLA is a private, nonprofit organization, founded in 1988 and gained its independence in 1997. It became part of Laureate Education Network in 2000. With more than 25 years, the institution has distributed 8 campuses in their headquarters: Vina del Mar, Santiago and Concepcion. Their community consists of 26,000 students, 34,000 alumni, more than 3000 teachers and 500 people in its management plan. UDLA is an inclusive, secular and pluralistic university that aims to open opportunities for access to higher education who, driven by their vocation, want to become professional. To meet this end, it has a strong policy of fellowships, which supports more than 50% of their students.
