The University of Chiclayo, was created by Act No. 24086, on January 11, 1985, beginning their academic work with the careers of Architecture and Planning and the Faculty of Health Sciences, with the Professional School of Obstetrics. Later , amending Art. 02 Creation Act by Act No. 2478 on December 22, 1987, extending the careers of Health Sciences, with the Professional Schools of Medical Technology with a specialization in Radiology, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and Clinical Laboratory; Faculty of Education Professional Schools Early Childhood Education and Special Education.In 1992 the University of Chiclayo acquires its full autonomy electing their highest authorities.
