The University of Boyaca is a private, coeducational university based in the city of Tunja, Boyacá, Colombia. Boyacá University was founded in the city of Tunja the September 22, 1979, with the desire for a native Guateque scholar, Dr. Osmar Correal Cabral, and Bogota economist Dr. Rosita Payeras Cuervo.
