Antioch University is a state institution of departmental, which develops public service of Higher Education, established by Act LXXI December 4, 1878 the Sovereign State of Antioquia. Organized as a University Autonomous Entity with special regime, linked to the Ministry of Education as it pertains to policy and planning in the education sector and the National Science and Technology; has legal personality, academic, administrative, financial and budgetary autonomy, and government revenues and own and independent heritage; is governed by the Constitution, Law 30 of 1992, the other provisions that are applicable under special regime and the internal regulations issued in the exercise of their autonomy.
