University of Aconcagua was founded on December 29, 1989, establishing its first office in the city of San Felipe, where he began his academic activities in March 1990, to attain full autonomy Institutional 2006, by special resolution of the Ministry of Education, 20 January of that year. Its growth and development through the years, are now present throughout the national territory, with offices from Calama to Ancud.In recent years, the main efforts have been focused on continuous improvement and the quality of their training processes.Currently the University has launched its Institutional Development Plan 2012-2018, which contains a set of actions and goals aimed at fulfilling its mission and, inter alia, that the institution aims to enter the accreditation process in the next years.
