Universidad Católica Bolivia "San Pablo" is the official name of the Catholic University of Bolivia. It is the oldest private university in Bolivia. Established in La Paz in 1963 and active from 1966, the university now has four regional units: La Paz, Cochabamba, Tarija and Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
In 1966, the Bolivian Episcopal Conference founded the Catholic University of Bolivia "San Pablo" in principle with the Faculties of Economics and Business Administration. In 1971 the Faculty of Clinical Psychology and Education is created, opening the study of psychology in Bolivia. Similarly, the Department of Culture and Art opens, to contribute to a comprehensive and humanistic education. School of Media is also created. In 1982 the races of Public Relations and Tourism Administration are created, the latter focused on the productive potential of ecological and sustainable tourism resources in Bolivia.
