The creation of the Autonomous University of Entre Rios (UADER) in 2000, was a response to the challenges that question the social cultural, economic, political and community entrerriana. The need to find new horizons for various problems, mobilized the will of the State and Municipal Provincial States, and some civil society organizations linked to production and education project to build an institutional and democratic base to implement new educational policies.
Since 2002, consultative bodies were formed to advance the process of normalization (in the Schools Advisory Councils and the Provisional Council), with limits on its powers but with the spirit of legalizing their functioning and accommodate a large, own debate the democratic cause in universities. This stage of the University was marked by difficulties of the context of both social and economic crisis provincial and national levels.
