Non-profit foundation, the history of Colleges Foundation President Antonio Carlos, FUPAC, and the University President Antonio Carlos, UNIPAC, began in 1963 when the deputy and professor Bonifacio Andrada presented a bill approved gave rise to the University Foundation Mantiqueira, Barbacena, Minas Gerais. The institution, in remembrance of Mr Hilo Andrade, would be called Foundation President Antonio Carlos. It was the birth of FUPAC, who later becomes one of the largest universities in the country.
The deputy and professor Bonifacio Andrada turned into reality his purpose in 1965. It was up to him to chair the installation of the first two universities in Barbacena. Thus, in 1966, the first two faculties were established: the Faculty of Philosophy with the letters courses, Education and History and the Faculty of Economics, Accounting and Administrative through the course of Accounting. The beginning of these courses reflected the concern of President Antônio Carlos Foundation to respond to expectations in teacher education and in the business management sector because, since that time, qualified professionals were asked to these areas.
