A university projects and dreams. With over 50 years of history, Unijuí track a path of success. His multicampi structure in the cities of Ijuí, Panambi, Santa Rosa, Three Steps and the University Center for Lieutenant Portela, apart from support units and call centers of distance education, promote the development of the region. The history of Unijuí refers to the 50s when, in the quest for qualification and legal capacity for educational work and activities in secondary education, the Order of Franciscan Friars (Capuchin) of Rio Grande do Sul, and Ijuí community and region, They began a mobilization in favor of higher education establishment. This movement is constituted, in 1956, the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters Ijuí (FAFI), a pioneer in higher education in the northwest region of the state.
