The University of Cruz Alta is a private institution, community nature, nonprofit, maintained and administered by the Foundation University of Cruz Alta. It was created by Decree No. 97.000, of October 21, 1988, and recognized by Ministerial Decree No. 1,704 / 93, of December 3, 1993. It is a strong institution, consolidated, active, participatory, credible, and reference in the regional development of the Rio Grande do Sul Northwest. Actively contributes to promoting effective changes that increase the quality of life of society, working with the municipalities in its area of coverage, investing in partnerships through projects and economic programs, social, educational, scientific and technological.
