The Universidade Católica do Salvador (UCSal; English: Catholic University of Salvador) is a private and non-profit Catholic university, located in Salvador, the first capital of Brazil, and third largest city. It is maintained by the Catholic Archdiocese of Salvador.
In 1968, management of the then secretary Brother Daniel de Albuquerque, the Catholic Faculty of Philosophy install the Convento da Lapa, on 14 March, the law school, Natural History and Literature. Then, with the construction of an annex building, the Convent of the funds are aggregated Nursing, Engineering and Education. During this period, the former home of the chaplain, now operates the Academic Superintendent of UCSAL. Currently, the convent houses the Arts courses, Communication and Secretariat. The unit also counts with the Library and Computer Lab.
