The Educational Center Realengo - CER Entity Maintainer of the Castelo Branco University - UCB had its origin in the University Studies Center Gissoni Paulo, founded on 03.07.1971. Upon the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 02.23.1973, the Bank changed its name-Educational Center of Realengo, settling at Av. Santa Cruz 1631, Realengo, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The first higher education were allowed to work with the creation of the Faculty of Education, Sciences and Letters Marshal Castelo Branco, on 09/10/1973, and the Faculty of Physical Education of Guanabara, on 07/11/1973. In 1976, the two colleges came to constitute the International College Wales - FICAB, with the approval of the Unified Rules for the opinion CFE No. 2903/71 of 07.01.1975, followed by the recognition of courses 15/12/1976 that were installed originally. With the implementation of FICAB, begins the development of facilities in Realengo.
