The Business School was founded in 1975 by Mrs. Erma Bovell. Mrs. Bovell, a deeply religious person, was moved by the needs of young girls who, for various reasons, could not access the public education system. She determined to make educational and employment opportunities available to them and started a secretarial school for young women from low income households. Accessing funding sources locally and internationally was very difficult at the time, and therefore, students assisted in covering operating costs by paying a small fee for their training. Mrs. Bovell experienced tremendous joy in seeing her students become independent and responsible providers for themselves and their families and valuable contributors to society.The college has grown over the years and now offers a wide range of courses within a number of faculties.
