Govt. College Lakhnadon was started in July 1970 as Non-government College. The college were running by the educational society and affiliated to Dr. Harisingh Gour Sagar University. Higher education department Madhya Pradesh has been undertaken the college on 1st of December 1983 and changed the name as Swami Vivekanand College Lakhnadon. The college is situated in tribe area. The government has been provided 3.459 hectare land to construct college building. On this land a new building established on 25th of September 1994 and classes is conducting in this building only. The college has constructed two new rooms and boundary wall through Janbhagidari scheme. The college is registered with UGC under 2(F) & 12(B) and now affiliated to Rani Durgawati University Jabalpur. Courses running in college - Govt.
