We have recently repositioned the College to focus on vocational education and training. This means that we are a specialist centre for skills training for employment. The College has first class resources to support skills training in a wide range of areas including motor vehicle, engineering, construction, plumbing, electrical installation, and painting and decorating. The College is working closely with the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to ensure the curriculum matches the skills needs in Stockport and Greater Manchester, and make a positive contribution to the economy. The College also works with numerous local and national employers which also ensures the training provided is relevant and matches the skills needed by industry. The College has a close working relationship with the Local Authority to provide a range of provision to suit all learners in the area and to help and support the unemployed.
