St. Catherine University is a private university in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan. It was established first as a women's junior college in 1966 and became a women's four-year university in 1988. It became a co-educational university in 2004.
"The campus of St. Catherine University and St. Catherine Junior College is located on the north side
of Matsuyama City. It is nestled in a quiet, suburban community that lies along the Seto Inland Sea
and looks out on picturesque fields and mountains.
The center of Matsuyama City is about 30 minutes away from the campus. Regular train service is
available. There are not only many shopping, entertainment and restaurant areas but also famous
sites, such as Dogo Onsen hot spring and Matsuyama Castle, to visit.
Matsuyama City has a convenient airport, with international connections,
that is 15 minutes from the center of the city. Domestic flight connections
can be made via Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya,
and other cities. Or you can take
the Bullet Train (Shinkansen) to Okayama and
transfer to a train bound for Matsuyama.
Matsuyama is also accessible from
Hiroshima by ferry. "
