The College facilities are located on a large elevated site on the Killicomaine Road in Portadown. A new school is currently being planned and should be completed by 2013. The current and future buildings have stunning views over three rugby pitches and 2 hockey pitches on the Gilford Road side of the campus. Mature trees help create a picturesque canvas and the grounds are a landmark in the town of Portadown.
"The College has adapted to many significant educational and social changes over its history. Not least of these being the transformation of the College from voluntary to controlled status. The College continues to enjoy the highest possible levels of support and expertise of its SELB colleagues. There have been 4 Headteachers in post since its inception in 1929: Mr Woodman, Mr Armstrong, Mr Flannagan and Mrs O’Hare.
The College was formerly located on the site of the current SELB Music Service facilities at Bann House and continues to enjoy an enviable reputation for academic, sporting and other successes, being annually ranked among the top achieving Grammar schools in N Ireland and the UK in GCSE and A’Level performance."
