Politecnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid is a university public institution, attached to the Departmental Government of Antioquia and founded in March 1964.
As an idea, the Polytechnic was born in 1962. The Antiochian leadership had identified the need to train a new generation of staff aimed at supporting the middle levels of the different productive sectors.Ordinance No. 41 of December 10, 1963 the Honorable Assembly of Antioquia, created the Polytechnic defined as establishment of public education department, for the average vocational education.
