The Nicaraguan University of Science and Technology (UCYT) was founded by a group of university professors with vast experience in teaching and administrative field, in order to contribute to economic and social development of the country by conducting higher education activities. The October 13, 2003, was legally established the Association of Nicaraguan University of Science and Technology, which is approved legal status by the National Assembly of Nicaragua on April 26, 2004. It is registered in the National Council University and the Registration and Control of Associations of the Interior Ministry.
