The Film School in Lodz, one of the oldest film schools in the world, puts special emphasis on practical work in its teaching programme. The school educates students in film art, television, photography and acting.
Artists and art theoreticians who found themselves in Lodz after the Second World War decided that professional artistic cinema in Poland needed a place where filmmakers would be educated. They founded the film school in 1948.The Student Government of the Łódź Film School represent the rights and interests of all students before the School’s authorities.
