In 1995, National Chi Nan University (NCNU) was founded in Puli, Nantou County, in central Taiwan. Today, it has a student population of over 6000, and a faculty and staff strength of 550. NCNU aims to distinguish itself through the following four vision statements: “Infuse local distinctive features”, “Integrate humanities and technology”, “Aggregate traditional and foreign education” and “Combine ecology and environment protection”.

We also offer distinctive curricula that are synergetic with local economic activities, such as leisure and tourism, photo-electronics and the local industrial development.
