Myerscough specialises in education and training for the land-based and sports industries. We teach more than 20 different subjects, many of which might already be hobbies and activities you enjoy doing in your spare time! For example, you can study motorsports, golf, football, horticulture and landscaping, animal care and equine studies. Plus, there’s a whole range of other subjects available that will give you the hands on, practical skills that you need to secure the job of your dreams.
The original college was agricultural, and based on the south side of Preston near Hutton, moving to the current site in Bilsborrow, near Garstang, in 1969. Various other Myerscough Centres have been added since - in Blackburn, Burnley, Liverpool and Manchester. Each offers a variety of land-based and sport courses. In addition, there is the Myerscough Centre in Dorset - The Lynwood Veterinary Hospital - which specialises in veterinary nursing.Myerscough College is incorporated under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992, and the Principal is Ann Turner.
