Miyagi University of Education (MUE) is commited to educating those who share the same passion in fulfilling its goal of ‘Educating Children for the Future”. We are looking for students who have a love of education and desire to increase their knowledge to become an progressive teacher in kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, or special education.
This year, which has been called Shinsai fukkou gannen (the first year of recovery after the disaster), we find ourselves in a critical period. We must plan and begin the road to recovery for in five years, ten years, and even further into the future. For all students, we encourage you to use any spare time you have to participate in activities that aim for recovery in education in schools. In the bright shining eyes of children, there lies hidden deep a hurt and fear caused by this terrible disaster. We hope you will become teachers who walk hand-in-hand with these children to help them overcome these feelings. When you experience seeing the growth of students, regardless of their age, you will come to further appreciate the wonderful feeling it is to be a teacher. At MUE, we want to create a learning atmosphere where students can become not only wonderful teachers, but wonderful people, training for your future, and the future of all young people.
