Founded in Lisbon on June 28, 1986, the Cooperative Education University Lusíada that, by Decree-Law No. 117/2003, of June 14, became the Minerva Foundation - Culture - Education and Scientific Research, the University Lusiada quickly extended its activities to Porto (March 22, 1989) and Vila Nova de Famalicão and later the People's Republic of Angola and the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe.
