Loyola University Andalusia is the eleventh of the Andalusian university system and the first private social initiative of the autonomous region. It is a university, sponsored by the Society of Jesus , committed to dialogue and different cultures, which aspires to be recognized for academic excellence and research, the creation of knowledge about the problems and needs of today's world, as it men and women committed to the development of a more just and sustainable society forming.
Loyola University Andalusia stems ETEA, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Cordoba, with experience in higher education since 1963. The Jesuit educational tradition was born with the beginning of the own Jesuits in 1540. Its founder Ignatius of Loyola, he turned to serve the society through education, dialogue and encounter between faith and science. The Company was the first religious order to establish a university, the Roman College in 1551. There are 238 universities and colleges today in over 70 countries with more than 160,000 students of all faiths.
