Kanagawa Institute of Technology is a private university in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The predecessor of the school, a vocational school, was founded in 1963. It was chartered as a university in 1975.
"Founded in 1963 as Ikutoku College of
Technology, we have kept growing and
celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2013. At
the beginning, established were only three
major departments; mechanical engineering,
electrical engineering and chemical
technology. Expansion, however, was made
as to hold information technology, bioscience,
and nutrition for the additional departments.
Such development has tailored the school as
a comprehensive science educational institute
where a variety of scientific disciplines are
